Everyone's talking about Jennifer Lopez's appearance at last night's Billboard Latin Music Awards, not only because she looked amazing on the carpet, but also because her surprise performance, a tribute to the late Selena Quintanilla, was certainly the night's biggest moment.

Jlo took the stage for a surprise performance dedicated to the singer who got murdered in 1995, and who Jennifer portrayed in the 1997 film, Selena. As photos of the star flashed on the screen, Jennifer performed a bevy of Selena's hits including "I Could Fall In Love" and a few of her Spanish tunes.

Jennifer was joined on stage by Selena's former band, Los Dinos, and ended her performance with an emotional hug with Selena's brother and sister. Selena would've turned 44 on April 16th.

Then this morning, Jennifer appeared on Today to talk about how much the performance meant to her. "The impact that Selena had on my life, on my career ... It was a great thing for her to be my mentor," Jennifer said. "And it was a great thing to have her teach me so much about how to navigate this business, but also how to navigate through life. That's what made it so emotional."
