The 54th Super Bowl will take place at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, on February 2, 2020. "@jlo @shakira #PepsiHalftime #SBLIV," the NFL posted on Twitter along with a photo of the two bombshells. Jennifer and Shakira also confirmed the news by posting photos of each other to their Instagram accounts.
"We are so excited to announce that global superstars Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will take the stage together for the very first time at the Pepsi Super Bowl LIV Halftime Show. We’ve been working closely behind-the-scenes with our longstanding partners at the NFL, and now alongside Roc Nation to bring these mega superstars together. It is a testament to our partnership and commitment to push the envelope of what is possible," Adam Harter, Senior Vice President of Sports, Media and Entertainment, for PepsiCo said in a statement.
"We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Jennifer Lopez and Shakira to the stage. These two remarkable artists are setting a new precedent for what this show can become, and we’re confident that this will be an incredible performance for the ages," Todd Kaplan, Vice President and Marketing for Pepsi added.

The legendary divas have some big shoes to fill. Adam Levine, Travis Scott, and Big Boi hit the stage in 2019 and Lady Gaga brought the house down in 2018. Other notable performers have included Bruno Mars, Aerosmith, Britney Spears, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and Coldplay.
It's been a huge year for J.Lo both personally and professionally. She got engaged to Alex Rodriguez in March and she is getting some major Oscars buzz for her role in her movie Hustlers.
Rumors about Jennifer scoring arguably the biggest gig in music have been swirling for weeks and she confessed on Live with Ryan and Kelly in early September that the opportunity would be a dream come true. "It’s something that we’ve talked about for many years, and, you know, it would be nice. It would be nice. I can’t say I wouldn’t love it," she said.
