It’s a small world. On December 3, Jennifer Lopez joined the Saturday Night Live cast at dinner, ahead of her hosting gig on December 7. Among the SNL cast and crew to dine at Lattanzi Ristorante was the show’s producer Lindsay Shookus, who shares an ex, Ben Affleck, with J-Lo.
Jennifer, 50, wore a cozy red tartan wool Coach jacket. The punk-chic coat featured turnlock closures, leather trim, and a pocket chain. She paired the piece with leather black thigh-high boots and a purse to match.
Alex Rodriguez also grabbed a bite to eat to support his ladylove. The MLB broadcaster, 44, kept things classy with a navy blue three-piece suit and a gray overcoat. Comedian Kate McKinnon and showrunner Lorne Michaels also gathered at the Italian restaurant.
Lindsay, 39, also wore a bit of plaid. The producer rocked a cream coat with a beige, blue and cream plaid scarf. She has served as a producer on the sketch series since 2008. Ben and the producer went public with their relationship in July 2017, and broke up a year later in August 2018. The pair tried to reconcile this year in February, but split again in April.

A source for Us Weekly reported hat Lindsay and the Argo actor were struggling to maintain their bicoastal relationship status. “She has a kid and an ex-husband and a job in New York and Ben has his family and a job in L.A., and while they love and respect each other, they just realized it wasn’t going to work,” the insider revealed at the time. “They really gave it another solid try.”
The “Let’s Get Loud” singer and the Gone Girl actor famously dated from 2002 to 2004. They were dubbed “Bennifer” throughout their romance, and were engaged before they called things off.
The Second Act actress has been vocal about her breakup with the Shakespeare in Love actor in the past. “I was eviscerated,” Jennifer told Vanity Fair in 2017 of their breakup. “I lost my sense of self, questioned if I belonged in this business, thought maybe I did suck at everything. And my relationship with Ben self-destructed in front of the entire world. It was a two-year thing for me until I picked myself up again.”
