Jenni “JWoww” Farley revealed in November 2018 her son Greyson was diagnosed with autism, but he’s already making huge strides! The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star updated her fans and said he’s on his way to combining words and potty training.

Jenni, 33, told People her son didn’t respond to his name at first but now, “he knows all his ABCs.” She also plans to teach him “on combining two words.”

The proud mama said, “To me, he’s brilliant.”

She further explained, “He loves gumballs, so he’ll just say, ‘ball.’ Now I make him pick the color of gumball that he wants. He’s understanding — there’s a big distinction between speaking and understanding a word. So, when we line up colors, he actually knows what color goes with what instead of just staying the color.”

Of the small achievements with Greyson, Jenni admitted, “It’s about building the bridge, which is a big issue in Autism Spectrum Disorder.”

The Jersey Shore star revealed in addition to sensory therapy, Greyson is doing applied behavior analysis (ABA). “ABA is one of the most scientific, data-researched ways to help children who have autism. They come for two hours a day, almost every day, and it’s such an amazing thing. They’re going to help me potty train him soon. I don’t even know how that goes, but we’ll see,” she joked.
