No new friends! Justin Timberlake and Ryan Reynolds fell out years ago, but the music superstar is desperate to get his old pal back on side.
“Justin and Jessica were very close with Ryan when he and Scarlett Johansson were together but really made a point of siding with Scarlett after the split because they all believed Ryan had cheated,” a source exclusively told OK!.
“But Justin has really softened up on Ryan in the last year and is ready to resume the friendship,” the insider dished.
However, not all of the Timberlakes are on board for this rekindling of Justin and Ryan’s friendship.
“The singer’s wife Jessica Biel is a bit of a different story - -she actually first got to know Ryan as a friend 13 years ago, when he was still with Alanis Morissette, and she was a shoulder Ryan cried on when that relationship finally ended,” said the source. “But Jessica is a very uptight person when it comes to cheating and it’s not as easy for her to forgive Ryan for leaving that marriage.”
Even so, the singer is ready to mend his friendship with Ryan. “Justin is going to lead the way on this -- he wants his friend back and thinks they were all too hard on him for leaving Scarlett.”
