Big name celebrities such as musical artist Jidenna , actor Idris Elba, Tina Lawson, and thousands more traveled to Accra, Ghana this holiday weekend to take part in one of the biggest events of the year, Afrochella 2019. Actor Boris Kodjoe was seen taking a break from the festivities to pose for a picture with the Essence Full Circle squad who were also in attendance.

Tina shared this cute picture of her and her husband Richard Lawson on her Instagram account when they first touched down Ghana. "In Ghana first night red heart emjoy," Tina captioned the snap.
Nicole and Boris were seen spending time with family at a local art center. "Back in my father's land. Back with more friends celebrating the year of return. Back at Arts Center where you can find the most beautiful fabrics, art, and jewelry," Boris captioned the picture. "Let's protect this treasure and its people form gentrification. Let's protect Arts Center."
Recording artist Jidenna and 6lack were also in Ghana for the festival.
