Jill, 27, shared over the weekend that a bee and a wasp had made their way into her home. “No, just no! I spent several minutes yesterday trying to kill a wasp that come into the house and in the meantime also killed a bee, then killed ANOTHER wasp today!” she wrote.
Jill said her son Israel had to help protect his younger brother Samuel as she took care of the intruders. “I wished @derickdillard was home at that moment to kill the flying, stinging insect!! lol I HATE flying critters!!!” she said.
When Jill asked, “Who else hates these things with a vengeance?!” followers responded with strong opinions. Dozens of people left comments slamming Jill for killing a bee, warning her they were endangered.
“Seriously, killed a bee? Do you know anything about current events?” one person asked. “PLEASE do not kill the honey bees,” another begged.

When Jill noticed the backlash, she fought back, writing, “Y’all, seriously?! ? If it’s in my home it’s trespassing!?. I do try to take most critters outside, but some I just don’t.”
She also recalled a time when she got stung on her foot as a child and “was on crutches for 3 days!” “Literally had to crawl everywhere!” she said, noting that she even had to take a scooter around an amusement park. "I had no clue ppl would make such a big deal of this lol," she added.
Other followers chimed in to show Jill their support. “Lmao get a life people! If a bee wasp or any kind of insect makes its way into my house it’s going to f**king DIE!!” a fan wrote. “Really people? Give her a break. So dramatic,” added another.
Jill is no stranger to Instagram haters. The mom of two is often slammed for her recipe posts, and she’s regularly defending her husband Derick, like the time she was accused of posting a “staged” photo of him studying for law school.
