No fan backlash is going to stop Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard from serving in the church, as the reality couple recently revealed that they're going back on the road! While the couple anounced that they were taking a different direction in their ministry last month, Jill and Derick revealed over the weekend that they’re still going to continue their missionary work, just in a different way.
The Counting On couple wrote on their family blog: “Things have been super busy for us over the last month as we have moved, Derick has started Cross Church School of Ministry, and his ministry track (international student ministry at the University of Arkansas through our church’s college “C3” ministry) has gotten into full swing with all the students arriving on campus only a few weeks ago.”
“We have all been able to be involved in ministry together in various ways,” their blog post continued. “Derick has helped with a number of outreach events where we have seen several people come to know Jesus as their Savior.”
“We are so excited to see what else God will continue to do! Over the next year, we will have the opportunity to serve on several missions teams,” the post read. “We would be so grateful if you would pray for us as we prepare for these trips. Details will be coming soon on how you can be involved in supporting this ministry.”
Fans have been bashing Jill and Derick after Derick started a fundraising page asking for fan donations to help with his upcoming mission trips.

“Oh my gosh, here we go again with asking people for money,” one fan commented on his wife’s Instagram post where she promoted his fundraising campaign. “I thought it is Derick's responsibility to provide for their family. Neither one has employment and it's getting ridiculous.”
While one follower simply wrote: “Derick doing everything to avoid getting a real job.”
