Jill Duggar’s son Israel had his 4th birthday party on Saturday, April 6, and the whole family turned out to celebrate — except his dad, Derick Dillard! When Israel’s grandmother Michelle and aunt Anna posted photos from the weekend celebration, fans couldn’t help but wonder why the former Counting On star wasn’t there.

Michelle, 52, posted this sweet selfie with Israel. “Happy birthday to our grandson Israel! ? We had so much fun celebrating his 4th birthday at the park yesterday!” she wrote.
She and her husband Jim Bob, Israel’s grandpa, gifted the youngster a razor scooter!
Anna, 30, shared photos of Israel having fun with his cousins (and many aunts and uncles) at the party.

A fan noticed Israel’s father Derick, 30, was nowhere to be seen. “Where’s Derick? Or was it just an all kid party?? Nothing wrong with that just asking! I like seeing your family pictures!” a fan wrote.
Anna replied and explained, “Mommas and kids party!”
While that description would explain why Derick was missing, Jill’s sister Jana Duggar managed to attend, even though she is not a “momma” herself.
Derick has been increasingly absent from family functions due to his busy schedule. He is currently in law school.
