PHOTOSJill Duggar Tells All On Friend Who Was Tragically Murdered In El Salvador

June 28 2017, Updated 2:57 p.m. ET

Since the tragic murder of her friend, German Daniel Serrano Orellana, Jill Duggar has remained mum on the circumstances surrounding his death – until now. The expectant mom took to her family blog, on Tuesday, to update her fans on the status of German’s family, who remain in El Salvador, following his murder.

“The family of our friend who was murdered was forced to move every night due to threats on their lives,” she explained. “Recently, they were finally able to rent a place in a different area where they will be able to stay for the next couple months.”

As OK! readers know, Jill, her husband Derick and their 2-year-old son, Israel, fled the Central American country just days after German -- who worked alongside the religious couple for SOS Ministries, a Christian non-profit that facilitates mission trips -- was found dead after being kidnapped, ending their three-month-long mission trip.
