Halsey and John Mayer are slamming dating rumors once again. The pair recently took to Instagram and explained why dating just isn’t in the cards for them.
The “Bad At Love” singer joined John’s Instagram Live broadcast and the two played a round of the “Are They Dating” game in order to finally address the “elephant in the room.”
The rules of the game were simple — they would each hold up a cue card and reveal their relationship status once and for all.
"If we are dating, it’ll be great, and if we’re not, it’ll be fine!” the 41-year-old joked.
After asking “are we dating?” and a quick drumroll, both singers held up cue cards with the word “No” written on them.

"Halsey and I ask for publicity in this very difficult time,” the “New Lights” said before explaining exactly why he doesn’t see a romantic future with the 24-year-old.
He held up two more cue cards that read, “The fact that we’re both alpha types, while not prohibitive, would make a romantic relationship difficult, especially when compounded by the fact that we’re both highly driven and creative artists who value our independence.”
“For being my not-boyfriend, you really do know me so well,” Halsey said after admitting she had the exact same reason.
