It was a happy & proud day yesterday for Senator John McCain and his wife Cindy, as they attended their daughter Meghan’s wedding to conservative pundit Ben Domenech. Although it’s been a rough couple of months for him as he was diagnosed with stage four brain cancer recently, he had a big smile on his face for her big moment as seen in this beautiful photo he shared on social media! The photo, which shows a dashing John in a suit and Cindy looking gorgeous in red, were also joined by their family dog!
He captioned it with, "Mother, father & puppy of the bride in beautiful Cornville #Arizona yesterday!” John wears a boot as he tore his achilles tendon.
PEOPLE magazine confirmed the news of the nuptials between Meghan and Ben, which took place before sunset at their family ranch in Sedona, Arizona. The statement also reveals that John gave Meghan away during the ceremony, and they all celebrated with dinner and dancing afterwards.
It hasn’t been the easiest of months for Senator McCain. He revealed back in September that he is battling what is called glioblastoma, more commonly referred to as stage four brain cancer.

This may have been why the ceremony was taken place so quickly after his announcement, as Meghan and Ben have only been engaged since July, and didn’t reveal the big news until early November when she was cohosting her new gig at The View.
Looks like Senator McCain approves of his daughter’s choice in Ben, as he said on an appearance during The View last month: “He’s a very fine man. I’m very proud and very happy that they’re so happy together.”
Regardless of what happens in the future, it's good to see that Senator McCain was able to not only be at his daughter’s wedding, but had a blast while doing so.
