The saga continues. Jon Gosselin recently revealed that it’s unlikely his kids Hannah and Colin, whom he has permanent custody over, will see their mother Kate over the holiday season. The former reality star also discussed what it’s like dividing time with all eight kids between him and his ex-wife.
Jon, 42, spoke to InTouch exclusively about the relationship they have with Kate, 44. When he was asked whether the kids would see their mother over the holidays, he responded,“Probably not. Right now it’s very volatile.”
“We’re going back to court real soon but it’s just for ancillary things,” Jon continued. “I always say that like every interview, ‘Oh, we’re going back to court.’ It’s been 11 years.” He also revealed that the ongoing tension between him and Kate, 44, is ongoing. “You’d think it would end one day but it doesn’t, it’s just over and over again.”
In 2018, the father of eight gained permanent custody over his daughter Hannah, 15. He also received custody of Colin, also 15, in December 2018 after initially filing in October 2018. Kate previously place Colin in a treatment center for kids with special needs.

Jon and Kate’s other kids, 18-year-old twins Cara and Mady, and the other four of the 15-year-old sextuplets, Leah, Aedan, Alexis, and Joel, make up their own minds when it comes to spending time with either parent. “So if Hannah wants to go, she goes,” he explained to InTouch. “If Leah is on Kate’s side, supposedly, if she wants to come, she comes.”
He added, “It’s supposed to be up to them. If Hannah really wants to go, I just drop her off or Kate comes to pick her up or whatever. There’s no…I can’t control that. And that’s the way it should be.”
Jon also revealed that he doesn’t stay in touch with his older twin daughters. “I text them on their birthday but it’s kind of like I have hoped that they’ll talk to me again or whatever,” he told the outlet. “Maybe I shouldn’t say anything or post anything anymore. Let them live their lives. I know they’re happy.”
