During her interview with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb, the 24-year-old talked about how she's been since breaking up with her boyfriend of three years, Jason Derulo.

Sparks said she has been holding up fine since splitting from 25-year-old Derulo. “The funny is that I read this book the other day. Actually, it was yesterday. It said when something unexpected happens in your life or you think something bad is happening, just say ‘plot twist’ and move on,” Sparks said during her interview.

Sparks made her first public appearance after her breakup from Derulo at the 2014 Catalina Film Festival premiere of Left Behind.
