Josh Duhamel is ready to be a stay-at-home dad, and he’s letting his wife Fergie know it’s time for her to start bringing home the bacon again!
So why is the 42-year-old actor ready to call it quits? He was “humiliated” after CBS cancelled his latest show, Battle Creek, a source tells OK! exclusively. “Josh is destroyed after spending a year working on that show and he’s decided he wants to be a full-time dad.”
The show was the first series after Breaking Bad to come from creatorVince Gilligan, but it still fell short of expectations after is March debut.
And while Josh has been offered other roles since, it sounds like he’d rather be watching television with his son Axl while at home!

The source says, “He’s been inundated with offers including CSI but would rather stay at home with his kid. He’s taken the failure of Battle Creek very personally because he was so passionate about the series and had formed some real friendships on that show.”

And Josh has already expressed his plans to his wife. “He’s told Fergie he wants to take at least six months to re-assess everything before he gets locked into another series, but he's getting tired of these pretty-boy roles and wants to try something with a little more darkness and grit,” the insider tells OK!
