Joy-Anna Duggar's Family Worried She Was Too Young to Get Married!

Uh oh, Joy-Anna Duggar’s family may not have all been on board for her becoming a teenage bride. While Joy may be a happy newlywed now, her family seemed a little apprehensive about even the possibility of her getting married so young, on a recent episode of Counting On. While the ever-growing bunch is known for its young brides, 19-year-old Joy was the first teenage Duggar girl to enter into a courtship.
In a clip from Monday night’s episode of the family's reality show, Joy’s older sister, Jessa Seewald, expressed her hesitation at the thought of Joy getting engaged at such a young age.
"Joy is 19, so she's the youngest one of all of us girls so far to be in a courtship -- and now on the edge of an engagement," Jessa said during the episode, which later showed Austin asking Joy’s dad for his permission to wed his daughter. “I think it's sort of young, but she's very mature for her age and they've known each other for a long time. So I think she and Austin are ready for this next step whenever it comes about.”

As OK! readers know, Joy and Austin Forsyth said ‘I do” last month, over Memorial Day weekend, with both of their families blessings. The two, who are seemingly STILL on their honeymoon, recently celebrated their one-month wedding anniversary in the Holy Land!
Before traveling to Israel, the young jet-setters kicked off their honeymoon in Switzerland!
