Joy-Anna Duggar Reveals What Husband Forbid Her From Doing At Their Wedding

Austin Forsyth strikes again! Joy-Anna Duggar’s husband sure has a lot of opinions about what goes on his wife’s body. On Monday night’s episode of Counting On, Joy revealed what her then-fiancé banned her from doing, despite her great desire to, at their wedding.
“I don’t know what shoes I’m wearing,” Joy-Anna said while she was packing to go dress shopping. “Austin doesn’t want me to go barefoot, but…”
While Joy seemed hesitant to follow Austin’s request, she ultimately went with strappy brown sandals for her big day, ditching her shoeless idea.
Joy wouldn’t have been the first sister to walk down the aisle sans shoes, as her older sister, Jill was the first Duggar to be a barefoot bride.

Austin seems to have a heavy influence on Joy’s decision-making, especially her style choices, as Joy traded in her beloved jean skirts for dresses, which she has previously said she hated, after beginning her relationship with the handyman.
“I said before that I don’t like dresses, but Austin likes them on me,” she said, before adding, “and so I’m branching out and I’m wearing some dresses now.”
