With a photo of a sweet little hand grasping her own, the 10 Things I Hate About You star introduced her new son to the rest of the world.
He is the first for both the actress and her cameraman hubby, who famously had a “shotgun wedding” less than two months ago, from which she also shared a pic on her Instagram.
But what they decided to name their firstborn has had a few people scratching their heads. It’s “Strummer Newcomb Cook, born October 20, 2017,” to be exact, as she shared in the baby post. “Thanks to the extraordinary Doctors, Nurses and staff at Mount Sinai for helping bring this utter joy into our lives,” she concluded.

The name may sound unusual, but punk rock fans may find it familiar. The frontman from the legendary band The Clash (“Rock the Casbah”) was named Joe Strummer. He passed away in 2002.
Whether or not Julia and Preston named their son after the rocker remains to be seen. But judging by all the pics the actress shared of herself gallivanting across the globe while pregnant, it looks like he will be quite the adventurer!
