JWoww's Ex Roger Mathews Speaks Out About Ronnie Ortiz-Magro’s Arrest — 'We Are All Flawed'
Jenni "JWoww" Farley's ex-husband Roger Mathews shed some light on the current situation surrounding Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's arrest after an alleged domestic violence incident with his on-off girlfriend Jen Harley.
Roger, 44, has been friends with the Jersey Shore star, 33, for more than nine years. Roger was married to JWoww, 33, from 2014-2019 and their relationship played out on the MTV show.
The truck driver spoke to Us Weekly about the incident and gave his take on what went down. “Two people can be good people but still be bad for each other and bring out the worst in each other. Learning to be alone and liking yourself plays a big part in how you treat others and how others treat you,” the father of two began.
He added, “You’re never gonna like the person in the mirror if you look to someone else to define you — especially if that person resents you.”
Ronnie was arrested on October 4, for kidnapping following an alleged domestic violence altercation with Jen, 31. The father of one allegedly chased Jen with a knife before being taken into custody. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has not filed any official criminal charges against Ronnie. Fox News 11 first broke the story that Ronnie was apprehended in LA.

“We can’t help who we love. Life would be much simpler if we could do that, but when children are involved your love for them and your choices must outweigh everything else — even if it is the person you love,” Roger continued. “There are two sides to every story, but people are only going to remember what they want to. Don’t focus on that, just focus on becoming a better you. There will always be those who hate you but your children will always love you if you’re there for them.”
"We are all flawed as humans but time and self-growth can redeem almost any of us," Roger concluded.
According to Us Weekly, the Famously Single alum was charged with kidnapping and his bail was set at $100,000. LAPD told RadarOnline.com that "officers responded to a battery in progress at the location they were staying at at around 2:40 a.m. Suspect and victim were involved in some kind of physical altercation. When officers on location, the suspect was uncooperative. Officers had to use a taser so there was minor use of force that occurred."
Ronnie and Jen share an 18-moth-old daughter named Ariana.
