Kaitlynn Carter is telling it like it is. When a fan commented on a recent Instagram post and said that the Hills: New Beginnings star looked “too thin,” she gave an honest response. Kaitlynn, 31, went through two highly publicized breakups from Brody Jenner in August and Miley Cyrus in September.
A fan commented on an Instagram of the Hills star posed in a bright pink bikini that she shared on October 22. "Oh Kaitlynn you look too thin are you ok you are so beautiful hope all is ok it was nice to see you healthy for a bit modeling it was normal it seems like the new norm is being shown as super thin is only exceptional," they wrote.
Kaitylnn candidly responded, "I mean I been through some sh*t lately LOL." The TV personality experienced the highs and lows of love over the summer and into the fall.
On August 2, Kaitlynn and Brody’s reps confirmed they separated in a joint statement after a year of marriage together (they had a gorgeous ceremony in Bali but never obtained a marriage license)."Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter have decided to amicably separate. They love and respect one another, and know that this is the best decision for their relationship moving forward,” the statement read.
Days later, Kaitlynn was spotted making out with Miley, 26, while on vacation in Italy (who subsequently split from Liam Hemsworth). The couple’s fling lasted a few weeks, and the former couple parted ways on September 14.
“Miley and Kaitlynn broke up,” a source told People at the time. “They’re still friends. They’ve been friends forever and were there for each other when they were both getting separated,” the insider added. “But they’re just not in a romantic relationship anymore.” Since, the Disney Channel alum has moved on to boyfriend Cody Simpson.
Kaitlynn’s split with Brody, 36, is expected to be part of the upcoming season of the Hills reboot, as he revealed to Entertainment Tonight on October 18. “I'm sure you're going to see a lot of that," the TV personality said of their breakup. "Of course, you have to stay tuned to see what goes on with that. But, you'll definitely see some of that."
