When Kaley Cuoco filed divorce papers, she cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason she broke it off with Ryan Sweeting. But according to one report, Sweeting’s addictions with drugs and alcohol may be the reason for the split.
Us Weekly reported that Cuoco’s friends said she ended their marriage after 21 months because Sweeting abused alcohol and prescription pills.
The source said the tennis pro “developed a dependency on painkillers” after he had back surgery following a series of injuries.
“She supported him, but she said he could’t make the commitment to get sober,” the source said. “He’d tell her he was working on it, and instead go get wasted.”

Sweeting was arrested for DUI and possession of a drug with intent to sell in 2006, which Cuoco did know about during the six months they dated before getting hitched.

The report added that she “didn’t want to get divorced but felt she had no choice” because she “couldn’t fix him.”
