Kandi Burruss isn’t letting the drama between her and Kim Zolciak stop her from pursuing her professional dreams, as the reality star and singer made her official Broadway debut last night in the musical Chicago! Click through for all the details.
It was confirmed back in early December that Kandi would be joining the Tony-award winning musical as Matron ‘Mama’ Morton. The same role was played by Queen Latifah in the movie version, which earned her an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 2003.
Looks like her debut performance went over very well, as she couldn’t contain her smile after finishing her debut act.
She also received praise from her costars that evening, as Tom Hewitt (who plays Billy Flynn) presented her with a bouquet of roses after the show ended.

Kandi also had some special guests show up for her first big night, as hubby Todd Tucker was there to cheer her on and hold her tightly as the couple posed with big smiles on their faces.
He wasn’t the only one on hand for her Broadway debut, as fellow Real Housewives of Atlanta cast mate Sheree Whitfield made an appearance, as well as fashion vlogger Brande Elise and Dj AONE, who is her official tour DJ.
Kandi will be spending a decent amount of time on the Broadway stage, as she’ll be playing Mama Morton until March 11. Looks like it’s going to be a great two months for her as her debut performance looked like a smashing success!
