Cowboy Moves! Kanye West Purchases A Second Wyoming Ranch For $14 Million
Kanye West is investing in the cowboy state. The Grammy-winning rapper, 42, and his wife, Kim Kardashian purchased a second ranch near Greybull, Wyoming for a whopping $14 million. This purchase comes almost three months after the couple purchased their first ranch in Cody Wyoming for the same amount.
The estate, known as the Bighorn Mountain Ranch, has been around since 1906 and extends across 6,713 acres of canyons, mountains, creeks, and game hunting grounds. The property is also surrounded by several collections of cabins and lodges, including a five-bedroom, four-bathroom main log home known as The Lodge at Bald Ridge.
The house overlooks a large pond and canyon with features including a commercial kitchen, wraparound deck, and a wood-burning fireplace. Another interesting feature is the wildlife, including approximately 2,000 elks, that frequent the property, according to Architectural Digest.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Kimmel in September 2019, Kim, 39, mentioned that it had always been Kanye’s “dream and his vision to move there.”

The rapper spoke on his desire to create an entire community in Wyoming. “It’s just the next frontier for me, to develop” Kanye told radio personality Charlemagne tha God during an interview. “We’re standing on my first property. So I’m going to be one of the biggest real estate developers of all time—what Howard Hughes was to air crafts and what Henry Ford was to cars … We gonna develop cities.”
Kanye also purchased a warehouse in Cody, Wyoming according to PEOPLE. There’s still no word on what his plans are for both the ranch and the warehouse but sources say that locals are fine with the idea of a celebrity living amongst them.
“Whenever he buys something in town, everyone talks about it,” a source explained to PEOPLE. “Locals are still kind of surprised he’s here, but everyone is welcoming to it.”
Kanye’s love for Wyoming was first seen throughout his music and those of his record label affiliates. The rapper’s cover art for his album Ye was a landscape photo of the mountains in Wyoming. While a majority of the albums released under Kanye’s record label, G.O.O.D Music, including Pusha T’s DAYTONA album, were produced in the state.
