Kanye West has done the unexpected once again. This time he took his talents to the Pornhub Awards and joined as both performer and creative director. Keep reading for all the details on his truly one of a kind appearance.
Kanye first made his love for the Pornhub website public back on the Jimmy Kimmel show, so it’s only right that the company hit him up for their inaugural awards. The show itself was live-streamed so even fans not physically in the building got to witness Yeezy’s creative debut.
Along with collaborator, Willo Perro, Kanye took charge of the show’s futuristic-themed lighting and production design.
Winners accepted massive phallic trophies as they walked across stage that had a large screen that played works from artist Richard Kern on a loop.
The seemingly bizarre details were a part of the 41-year-old's masterplan. The press release for the event explained, “ Kanye has designed a bespoke erotica-inspired award statue for each of tonight’s unique categories. In line with the futurist theme, the award statues represent imagined alien sex toys.”

The dad of the three was also in charge of the wardrobe and styling for all the show’s presenters. The women were half-naked and half-covered with select pieces from the Yeezy clothing line. Replicas of each outfit will be made in collab with brand Fashion Nova and available for purchase.
In addition to a performance by the creative director himself, G.O.O.D Music signee Teyana Taylor, Blackbear, Dana Dentata, and Young M.A. all graced the stage.
However, the awards show proved that they were nothing but fair. Even with all of Ye’s hard work, his wife Kim Kardashian didn’t take home the ‘Celebrity of the Year’ award. No playing favorites at Pornhub!
