Kate Middleton may be a commoner, but she proved that she’s a natural at being a royal! The Duchess of Cambridge stunned in a red gown and diamond tiara, as she helped Prince William and Queen Elizabeth II welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping at her first state dinner on October 20.

Lady in red! The mother-of-two tots stole everyone’s breath away as she wowed in a red Jenny Packham gown. The stunning look featured capped sleeves and a belted waist with embellishments on the bodice.

Kate chose red as a tribute to the Chinese flag. “It’s elegant and graceful, which shows off her figure as well,” designer Elizabeth Emanuel told People. “Even after her second child, you can see she has the most beautiful figure.”

Diamonds are a royal’s best friend! The 33-year-old completed the look with a pearl and diamond tiara, diamond drop earrings and two diamond bracelets. The Queen Mother and Princess Margaret wore the tiara, also known as the Lotus Flower. “It is a very pretty, lightweight tiara,” expert Leslie Field told the website.

Princess Kate continued to impress only hours later, as she wowed in revealing purple lace Dolce & Gabbana dress on October 21. The £1,850 piece featured a high neckline and see-through long sleeves.
