KeKe Palmer learned sex education from an unexpected source. During a recent appearance on Busy Phillips’ show Busy Tonight, the Pimp star admitted she only discovered what oral sex was after watching an episode of the Maury show.
“Maury taught me what oral sex was,” Keke told Busy with a laugh.
“I will never forget the time that I was watching Maury — I shouldn’t have been watching Maury, right? But I grew up in a very small, Midwestern area,” the Illinois native explained. “So you know, it’s like, you just watch those shows.”
“I remember they mentioned the lie detector test,” she recalled. “‘Did you have oral sex? Lie detector test determines you did,’ and my mom overheard and she’s like, ‘Oh my God, my daughter’s watching Maury.’ And you know what she did? She said, ‘Do you know what oral sex is?’ And I’m like, ‘No…’ ”

“My mom says, ‘I want you to look up in the dictionary what oral is and what sex is.’ And then I was horrified,” the 25-year-old admitted. “And I knew that I shouldn’t have been watching Maury,” she concluded.
Keke’s done a lot more growing up since then and fans will get a chance to see a more mature side of her in Pimp. She explained that playing the role of Wednesday, a lesbian who's an aspiring drug dealer and was raised by a sex-worker mother on the gritty streets of the Bronx, took a mental toll on her.
“When you really invest yourself, it becomes difficult once the filming is over to kind of shake it,” she explained. “You take it on, and Wednesday’s like — she had a hell of a life. That’s not a life you want to take on.”
