Kelly Osbourne opened up to Us Weekly about her drug use, ongoing battle with chronic Lyme disease, and being harassed and mocked by viewers of The Osbournes.
In Us Weekly's cover story, Kelly said that friends and fans of the show would comment on her weight once she was on TV. “People would call and tell me to stop eating doughnuts because I was fat,” she said. “I would cry my eyes out. I hated myself.”
Kelly turned to prescription drugs to deal with the pain and was self-medicating at 17 years old, “to make myself feel better," she said. She went to rehab four times before officially getting clean. “I realized only I could save myself,” she said. In her new memoir, There Is No F*cking Secret: Letters From a Badass Bitch, Osbourne shares all the gruesome details of her time using drugs, hoping other addicts “will know they’re not alone.”
The middle Osbourne child says her drug use worsened when her mom Sharon was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer. She also spilled her dad's drug secrets, saying Ozzy's addiction also worsened when Sharon was sick, and he was paying a private doctor to come to the house to shoot him up. Fortunately, Sharon beat cancer and Kelly went to rehab. However, she was recently spotted wasted in a heated brawl outside of a hotel in LA.

At the same time, the reality TV star was suffering from undiagnosed Lyme disease. Kelly was bitten by a tick from one of her dad's reindeer which were kept in a sanctuary in their backyard and began feeling chronic pain, from sore throats to stomachaches. She had a seizure while filming E!'s Fashion Police and doctors diagnosed her with epilepsy.
After a string of misdiagnoses, Kelly says she "had pills to deal with the anxiety that I was having from taking so many pills." She eventually discovered she was suffering from Lyme disease. "I was relieved to finally know what was going on, but I was also scared s--tless," she wrote.
