Even with the assistance of ghost writer Maya Sloan, the sister’s Rebels of Indra novel has only sold around 13,000 copies since it’s June release, reports Radar Online.

Adding to the chorus of “womps” for the Jenner girls, the novel has also raked in some pretty horrible reviews.

Literary greatness isn’t always out of reach for reality stars, though. Lauren Conrad has seen great success with the release of her series of novels, including the L.A. Candy trilogy of books she dropped between 2009 and 2010 .

Despite the scathing reviews and comments the Jenner girls have received, Sloan continues to stick by her decision to help them scribe the book.

“People are trying to take this away from the girls,” she said. “But most art is collaborative. It was never like, ‘Maya go off and write ten chapters and send them back to us.’”
