Kevin Hart is being slapped with a $60 million lawsuit from his sex tape partner, Montia Sabbag, for alleged extortion. The comedian cheated on his wife, Eniko Parrish, in 2017 and claimed that he was being extorted because of his level of fame. The lawsuit comes days after Kevin was released from the hospital after he suffered major back injuries in a vehicle accident on September 1.
Montia sued Kevin, 40, his former friend JT Jackson, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and the website, Fameoulous, according to court documents obtained by The Blast. She listed “negligence, negligent infliction of emotional distress and invasion of privacy” as her reasoning for the lawsuit.
Kevin and Montia hooked up at The Cosmopolitan in August 2018. Montia alleged that JT, 42, and Kevin were both in on a ploy to secretly videotape her as a way of creating press before his comedy tour. JT allegedly was the person who planted a camera in the room ahead of Kevin and Montia’s hookup.
JT was arrested in May 2018 for extortion in regard to the sex tape. “Mind blown...Hurt...at a lost for words and simply in complete disbelief at the moment. WOW,” Kevin tweeted on May 2, 2018, following news of his former friend’s arrest.

"Jackson is accused of trying to extort an undisclosed amount of money from Hart between Aug. 25 and Aug. 30, 2017," the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement. "Jackson allegedly had a videotape of the actor with a woman in Las Vegas and then is accused of trying to sell the recording to numerous celebrity news websites."
Kevin apologized for cheating on his wife in a video posted to Instagram in September 2017. “It’s a s**tty moment when you know you’re wrong and there’s no excuse for your behavior,” he said. “At the end of the day, man, I gotta be a better person.”
He also seemingly slammed JT a year before his arrest for extortion. “I’m also not going to allow a person to have financial gain off of my mistakes and in this particular situation, that’s what was attempted,” Kevin said.
The Night School comedian is still recovering from his car accident that landed him in the hospital for nearly 10 days.
