Kevin Hart Shares Video Of Vigorous Workout Routine Following Near Fatal Car Crash
Kevin Hart is not slowing down on his recovery efforts. The comedian, 40, gave his fans a look into his strenuous workout routines he’s been completing as he works on getting his body back into shape.
The Jumanji star posted a video explaining his intentions. “I’m not trying to get back to where I was. I’m trying to reach new levels of greatness … not for you guys tho .. I’m trying to reach these new levels for MYSELF,” Kevin explained. “I want to inspire & motivate people to challenge themselves to be great.”
Kevin went on to give some words of encouragement. “I can’t wait to show ME the new levels that we are about to reach!!! A positive mindset & positive outlook on life are all you need… You just have to look for it. It’s a lifestyle,” the movie star concluded before tagging multivitamin VitaHustle.
Kevin made his first public appearance after the crash this past Sunday as he took the stage at the Barker Hanger in San Francisco at the People’s Choice Awards. “First and foremost, thank God because I definitely don’t have to be here.”

“Being that I am, it makes me appreciate life more. It makes me appreciate the things that really matter. I want to thank my wife and my kids. They really stepped up to the plate for me.”
The Laugh at My Pain comedian suffered three spinal fractures in the car crash that happened in Calabasas, California back in September 2019. Kevin had to get back surgery and spent 10 days in the hospital prior to his rehab transfer.
Jared Black was driving Kevin’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, meanwhile Jared’s fiancée Rebecca Broxterman was in the back seat and when the car veered off the road and struck a tree.
The cause behind the crash was a result of reckless driving according to CNN. It was also presumed that Jared was not under the influence the night of the crash, however, all three passengers neglected to wear their seatbelts.
Kevin sent a kind note to his friends. “I have nothing but love a for Jared and wish him and Rebecca a speedy recovery,” Kevin told CNN through his attorney Andrew Brettler.
