Kim Kardashian is taking legal action against fast-fashion sites, which she claims are knocking off the “one-of-a-kind” dresses she’s “privileged” to wear. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star recently took to Twitter to get her frustrations out about the situation and shortly after, she filled a $10 million dollar lawsuit against Missguided. Scroll through for all the details.
"It’s devastating to see these fashion companies rip off designs that have taken the blood, sweat and tears of true designers who have put their all into their own original ideas," Kim, 38, tweeted on Tuesday, February 19.
The mother-of-three went on, "I was privileged enough to wear a one-of-a-kind vintage Mugler dress and in less than 24 hours it was knocked off and thrown up on a site - but it's not for sale." She explained, "You have to sign up for a waitlist because the dress hasn’t even been made to sell yet."
"This is a way to get people to sign up for their mailing list and make people believe there is some kind of relationship between me and this fashion site. There is not," Kim continued, before explaining how important her relationships to these designers are, as they took over a "decade to build them."
The beauty mogul concluded, "So, as always, don’t believe everything you read and see online. I don’t have any relationships with these sites. I’m not leaking my looks to anyone, and I don’t support what these companies are doing."

After she finished her Twitter rant, the star filed a $10 million dollar lawsuit against Missguided for using her trademarked name and likeness to promote their products online.
According to E! News, the document says, "companies have sought out ways to leverage Kim's celebrity status and social media following without seeking her consent," and have made her "an unwitting and unwilling spokesperson of their products."
Missguided responded to the publication, "We haven't received any notification of legal action, but in any event any action based on online banter would be meritless."
The statement continued, "Missguided shoppers know the score—We're about the celeb look, for people without their bucks. For the record, as much as we love her style, we're not working with Kim on anything." Missguided has since deleted any outfits similar to Kim’s off its social media accounts.
