Fans Accuse Kim Kardashian Of Cultural Appropriation After She Shares Sunday Service Outfit

Kim Kardashian posted a photo to Instagram of her Sunday Service outfit and fans were not happy. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star wore an Indian Maang Tikka head jewelry piece which many called out as cultural appropriation.
Kim, 38, wore a white dress and the head jewelry which is usually reserved for Indian brides. She captioned the photo on April 4, “Sunday Service Vibe.”
One commenter clapped back, “Sis this ain’t ‘service vibe.’ This is straight up CULTURE APPROPRIATION.” Another similarly wrote, “This looks so weird from an Indian perspective lol.”
“She found a new culture to steal ?,” one fan remarked. In response, another fan wrote, “The only problem with this is Kim always seems to wear things many different cultures but knows nothing about those cultures. She wears them like a costume and like she makes them a thing. She is not influential in fashion, all she does is copy.”

One fan stood up for the KUWTK star and commented, “Haters will say it’s cultural appropriation, but I say it’s iconic.”
This isn’t the first time Kim’s been accused of stealing looks. On March 25 the mom-of-three responded to the backlash after she copied Naomi Campbell’s outfits over the years. She finally gave credit on her photo with the caption, “Naomi Forever.”
