Kim Zolciak is not taking any chances when it comes to her kids. In the wake of the massacre at a Florida high school, the reality TV star bought her children bulletproof backpacks. Click through to see what she had to say.
"I just asked Kroy Biermann what can we do as parents to protect our children everyday in this crazy sad world," Kim wrote on Instagram along with an image of the backpacks she bought. "He said, 'best thing we could do for now is get bullet proof book bags' you know I just did! It's better than not having anything at all. Just thought I would share with you guys. I just found this first on Amazon so I bought it. It's certified."
Soon after posting about the backpacks, Kim shared a photo of her youngest son. "My youngest little nugget, the easiest baby of them all!!" she wrote. "@kanebiermann you melt me!!"
Seventeen students and teachers were killed in a school shooting in Florida on Wednesday.

After the shooting, a lot of celebs, like Kim Kardashian and Ellen Degeneres, have been speaking out about the need for Congress to act in regard to gun control.
"We owe it to our children and our teachers to keep them safe while at school," Kim wrote. "Prayers won't do this: action will. Congress, please do your job and protect Americans from senseless gun violence."
