“It’s always so hard to start,” Kourtney told OK! Magazine exclusively about beginning her exercise routine following her pregnancy. “Exercise is a positive thing that everyone should try to do for themselves.”

And the 36-year-old makes it sound so simple. All she has done is follow a diet and exercise plan that works for her.
It helps that she has found a gym partner in fellow gym rat, Khloe. And while there, “She really does whatever fits into her schedule, and she changes it up to shock her body into losing the weight. She swims, hikes, runs, takes boxing lessons—anything to get moving, even if it’s just for 30 minutes,” a source says.
Another way Kourt has burned calories is through eating more frequently believe it or not, and through breast-feeding, as she has shone on her Instagram account.

Breast-feeding is definitely a great way to lose weight, as experts estimate it burns between 400 and 600 calories a day.

And eating more frequently may sound like the wrong thing to do, but it is actually a great way to drop the pounds! Kourtney says, “Little meals throughout the day are realistic for most people. It’s a fine balance between exercising and making sure that I eat enough.”

So what’s one example of a healthy lunch meal Kourtney enjoys? At midday, she often eats a protein-heavy salad, like Chinese chicken.
Kourtney is so excited about her progress that an insider says, “She’s started buying new clothes for summer. She’s excited to show off her flat stomach. She’s dropped three dress sizes, so she’s more confident than ever.”
