Eight years after the series finale, the cast of The Hills got the chance to have their big reunion moment at the VMAs. The crew also dropped another huge bombshell -- MTV will be airing a reboot next year. However, Kristin Cavallari has a good reason for why she won’t be taking part in the new show.
Kristen first appeared on The Hills in season 5, as a replacement for Lauren Conrad (who will also be MIA from the reboot). Though the reason for Lauren’s absence is her desire to focus of her family and her business and avoid the hyper-focused spotlight of reality television — Kristen’s is the exact opposite.
According to a source, the 31-year-old is skipping on the show “because she has a contract with E!” Very Callavari, which began airing in July of this year, follows her and husband Jay Cutler as she attempts to juggle her personal and professional life
However, the insider stressed that was no bad blood between her and her former cast-mates. The person said “She’s still close with Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt and is excited for them.”
