Keeping Up With The Kardashians' Producers Reveal What Happens Behind The Scenes!

You may think you know what’s going on on the set of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but you definitely don’t have the complete picture. But you know who does? The production staff, and they are revealing what really goes on behind the scenes. Get the inside scoop!

Kris Jenner is the momager, so it makes sense that she would have a pretty big pull in terms of what gets aired. She is in fact the only family member who can review the taped footage. "There are no exceptions and she can nix anything she doesn't like," says an insider.

And considering the reality show shows literally everything that goes on in the Kardashian household, it is no surprise that the staff "pretty much lives at Kris's house," an insider tells RadarOnline.

"She likes to have them there all the time because she is always coming up with new ideas—and no one will defy her because she'll just fire them." Fair enough.

What’s another way to get fired by Kris? By not using the proper amount of lighting when filming her! "When shooting Kris, they must use bright lights to flush out her face," says an insider. "This is an iron-clad rule."

And while the clan has had the same production staff since their show first started, things have certainly changed over the years.

"They used to treat them like family," a source tells Radar, "but now they treat them like their personal servants."

"These people give their lives to the Kardashians and have watched the family grow from a lovable and tight unit, to a complete mess," says a source, noting that viewers don’t realize each scene has about 10 people from the staff surrounding them.

But working at the reality show pays off big time! Everyone from producers and directors down to interns are paid very well. "E! knows what a tough job they have and how much they put up with," explains a production source.

So who does the staff like the most?

Kim Kardashian, which may come as a surprise. "She has remained the same since day one and the richer she got, the better she started treating everyone," a source reveals to Radar.

That may be why they don’t mind Kim shooting several takes sometimes for a scene. And usually Kris does the same. "They are the best actors in the business and deserve an award for their fakery!" says a set insider.

But luckily Khloe keeps the laughs going and makes the environment less stressful. "She's really fun to work with," says a source. "She loves to get drunk and shoot because it makes her open up and not be so self-conscious." Drinking on the job doesn’t sound too smart but whatever works for her!

And what’s the deal with Kourt and Scott? Apparently all of their fights aren’t real, and the producers know "the two will bust out laughing whenever they are doing a fake fighting scene," notes an insider. 

Still, "they will basically do anything production says to do."
