Lamar Odom ‘Had A Death Wish,’ Wanted To Die With His Best Friend, Says Jamie Sangouthai’s Dad
Lamar Odom was heartbroken after losing his best friend Jamie Sangouthai in June from a drug-related infection and according to his late best friend’s father, the former pro NBA player had a “death wish” and wanted to die with his pal.
"I think Lamar is done. I think most of it is because he missed my son so much. I think deep inside they had a death wish, or a wish to die together,” Guillermo Castillo told The New York Daily News. “It sounds very cold-blooded, but I have a hard time controlling my emotions.”
The 37-year-old died in June from the bacterial skin infection necrotizing fasciitis, which he suffered from using heroin. Odom’s estrange wife Khloe Kardashian spoke about how Jamie’s death deeply bothered Lamar on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
He added: “They were so close. They wouldn't even go to the bathroom without asking the other. They couldn't live without each other. They went through a lot together — very powerful and beautiful times together."
