Leah Messer has been so brave sharing her daughter's story over the last ten years. In a sneak peek clip for Teen Mom 2, the mother of three opens up about Ali's battle with muscular dystrophy.
In the sneak peek clip, Leah sits with her friend and the two discuss Ali's condition. Leah begins to tell her friend, "Ali's so smart, and it's like she's trapped..."
While Leah explains her thoughts on her 10 year old's condition, video shows Ali getting help from her dad, Cory Simms' dad, Jeff, with getting into the car.
Before Leah completes her sentence, her friend says, "...In this body." Leah becomes visibly emotional and admits, "It makes me want to cry."

In June 2019, Leah shared photos from Ali's time at MD camp! "The first week of MDA Summer Camp is in the books for Ali girl! So proud of her for being so brave, confident, and resilient! You’re an inspiration to all of us baby girl! I’m so glad that she had a blast and so grateful for everyone involved making camp happen for all kids with MD! As fans may know, Ali was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy shortly after her birth. As seen on the hit reality television show, Leah, Corey and Ali have been documenting her journey with the diagnosis. On a previous season, Leah wasn't shy about sharing her daughter's struggles, which included exhaustion, being bullied at school and breathing test results that didn't come back good.
On a reunion special episode, Leah admitted that doctors have explained to her that over time, Ali will get weaker and one day she might need “in home care.” As seen on the show, Ali received a wheelchair and uses it when she feels like she is getting tired.
