Lenny Kravitz honored his daughter Zoe Kravitz on her birthday. On Sunday, December 1st, the “Fly Away” singer, 55, shared an adorable throwback photo of him and a young Zoe smiling as he held her in his arms.
“Another year of dancing through this life with you my love,” Lenny captioned the black-and-white photo posted to his Twitter and Instagram accounts. “The best is yet to come.” Zoe's stepfather, actor Jason Momoa also commented on the heartfelt tribute with seven heart-eyed emojis.
The Dope actress tied the knot with Karl Glusman in Paris, France on June 29, 2019. It was reported that the couple secretly got married in May, but threw an extravagant ceremony in Paris to make things official. Zoe’s dad walked her down the aisle at his home in Paris where the couple exchanged vows.
Lenny’s mother and The Jeffersons actress, Roxie Roker passed away from breast cancer in 1995. “When my mother passed she was young,” Lenny revealed. “She remembers her and has really fond memories, but it didn’t get to the point where they’d get into deep conversation,” the star shared.
Prior to the wedding, Lenny spoke with People about how it would feel to walk his only child down the aisle. “When that happens it’ll be a trip,” the “American Woman” the singer said. “And emotional for all the reasons anybody would understand, but also because that’s the one thing my mother talked about before she died, that she wanted to live long enough to see her granddaughter get married.”
The “Again” singer also revealed that he was “proud” of his daughter as Zoe is set to play Selina Kyle / Catwoman in the upcoming film The Batman opposite Twilight star Robert Pattinson.
“She’s amazing, and she’s all the things that I would have hoped for,” Lenny expressed. “I’m a dad you know, but we’re friends. We’re very close. We talk about everything. We don’t hide things from each other.”
