Vanderpump Rules star Lisa Vanderpump is still struggling with the loss of her brother, Mark. During the first part of the season seven reunion, the restaurateur revealed she sought professional help for her grief.
“I held it together while we were filming,” Lisa told the rest of the cast. “Personally, it was really difficult. I’m really sorry for it because I don’t want it to bring you all down.”
Though she tried to work through her grief on her own, she realized she couldn’t do it alone. “I struggled through it, but then I thought, the best way for me to get through it is to get professional help,” she said.
“I went to a grief counselor and then I asked for antidepressants,” the Bravo celebrity shared. “I’ve never taken pills in my life. Two Advil is a big deal for me. I’m always kind of British, stiff upper lip, but I guess I have feelings, too. And I didn’t do well this year, at all. At all.”

After her revelation, she walked off set and took several minutes to collect her emotions.
Lisa’s brother and only sibling was found unresponsive at his home in April 2018. He was rushed to the hospital where he died the next day.
He died as a result of drug toxicity — the coroner later ruled his death a suicide.
