At least seven people have been killed and 48 injured in a terrorist attack Saturday night that took place on the London Bridge. This comes less two weeks after a suicide bombing in Manchester and one day before Ariana Grande's benefit concert for the tragedy's victims.
On Saturday night, three attackers drove a white van into crowds walking on the London Bridge. The men then pulled out knives and attacked pedestrians at the Borough Market, the Commissioner for the Metropolitan Police, Cressida Dick, said in a statement on Sunday. She believes the situation is “under control” but security measures are still in place around the London Bridge.
Twelve people so far have been arrested in connection with the terror attack.

Police responded within minutes and shot and killed all three attackers at the Borough Market. According to Metropolitan Police Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley, the men were wearing what appeared to be fake explosive vests.
People who were on the scene shared on social media that there were “bodies strewn over the pavement” after the van ran into the crowd.
Video taken of the aftermath showed ambulances and police cars swarming an intersection near where the attack took place. London mayor, Sadiq Khan, called the terrorism attacks “cowardly” and advised everyone in the city to stay safe.
