Love & Hip Hop: New York star Rah Ali is mourning the loss of her child. The reality star, who was only five months pregnant, gave birth to a daughter who only lived for several minutes. Rah’s close friend and confidant Nicki Minaj is reportedly providing her with comfort during this difficult time.
According to a source close to the 35-year-old VH1 star, on Sunday, May 26, her water broke and she began experiencing contractions.
She was rushed to the hospital where she later gave birth, but the baby died shortly after delivery.
The source claimed that Rah’s premature birth came as a shock to her healthcare professional. Up until her early labor, she was reportedly having a healthy and normal pregnancy.

She wasn’t expected to deliver until October of this year.
As Rah continues to grieve, Nicki Minaj, 36, has reportedly stepped up to support her longtime friend.
The insider claimed the “Good Form” rapper has been calling to check in and lift her moods whenever she gets a free moment.
This isn’t the first time the two have had each other’s back in a crisis. Last year, Rah Ali reportedly attempt to fight Cardi B during the now infamous shoe-throwing incident at the Harper's Bazaar Icon party.
