'Bachelorette' Star Luke Pell Slammed For Defending Accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh

Luke Pell of Bachelorette fame got into some hot water over a series of now-deleted tweets in which he wrote and voiced his support for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Keep reading to hear more about what went down.
As OK! readers know, psychology professor Dr. Christine Blasey Ford accused Brett of sexual assault in the 1980s. This allegation led to a hearing that took place yesterday, September 27.
Many celebrities are supporting Christine and praising her for speaking out in her emotional testimony. Brett testified as well yesterday and proclaimed his innocence.
But one celeb is showing his support for the embattled judge. Luke wrote his feelings on Twitter and many fans criticized his opinions.

The 33-year-old wrote how Brett is a "great American" and signed off his tweets with the hashtag, #IStandWithBrett. He called doubters of his innocence "ignorant." He deleted his tweets after fans blasted him for victim-shaming.
Luke even blamed Christine for coming forward by writing, "36 years and how many days before this 'allegation' comes out from a Psych Dr. why not 35 years after, why not 30 or 25 or right after this serious assault happened? all aside the fundamental question is why NOW? #IStandWithBrett."
