Shade begets more shade! The Madonna vs. Lady Gaga feud isn’t dying down anytime soon!
The reignited feud began when Zane Lowe of Beats 1 Radio compared the two queens of pop, yes two, in a recent interview with Mother Monster.
The host’s comparison instantly put Gaga on the defense as she explained that what she does is “very different.”
"Madonna and I are very different. Just saying. We're very different. I play a lot of instruments. I write all my own music. I spend hours and hours a day in the studio. I'm a producer. I'm a writer. What I do is different,” Gaga boasted. “There is spontaneity to my work. I allow myself to fail. I allow myself to break. I'm not afraid of my flaws. I don't mean that in a disrespectful way. I just will not be compared to anyone anymore,” she confessed.
For good measure the pop star then threw in a few compliments about her fellow pop icon. “…I don't mean to disrespect Madonna, she's a nice lady, and she's had a fantastic huge career, biggest pop star of all time.” #StillShade

The two have a history of shade throwing in-between compliments however Madonna’s recent response to the self-proclaimed ‘very different’ pop star was as direct as shade could be.
The “Like A Virgin” singer’s response came via social media as she posted a Hilary Clinton meme with the words, "Can't hear you. Too busy being awesome," at the bottom of the Clinton pic. Madonna then captioned her post, "Like a boss! LOL."
As if the post wasn’t shady enough Madonna deleted it and put up an even more direct response to Gaga’s comments.
“Ink is the blood of literature. Remember when people used to write? ✍?✍?✍?? this post is not commentary on my ability to write. I have no need to defend myself,” she captioned the photo of her hands with black ink on them. “I love the art of writing. Putting ink to paper. Its more soulful then texting and so beautiful to receive a handwritten letter. ✍????”
Looks like Madonna won this round. Lady Gaga, you’re up next!
