PHOTOS'DWTS' Bombshell: Maksim Chmerkovskiy Is LEAVING The Dance Competition Already!
Say it's not so! One of the most well known dancers on Dancing With the Stars is not returning on Monday night, just one week after starting Season 24 of the competition. Maksim Chmerkovskiy will not be able to battle it out against his wife, and you won't believe why.
Maksim, who was partnered with Heather Morris, is out due to a calf injury, he told Good Morning America. However, he will still be in the audience rooting Heather on as she competes with a different dancer.
It is likely that he will eventually be returning once he is recovered though. Phew! The DWTS road has been a long one for Maks, who over the years has quit and then decided to return to the dance floor.

Last season, he even said publicly, "I’m going to have a newborn baby. I have zero want to do this. I promise you that. It’s been it for me two years ago. I never thought I’d be back here in this position. I’m glad I am. I promise, I’m so glad that I made this decision.”
But he opted to return this year to give his leading lady Petra some competition, as he put it.
