Mariah Carey was out and about in Aspen, Co. this week, which is a tradition for the pop icon during the holidays. But it is notable that Mariah was without her family! Apparently, though there were talks about the family reconciling over the holidays, Mariah does not want to spend Christmas with estranged hubby Nick Cannon!

After spending Thanksgiving as a family, it was believed that Nick and Mariah would be celebrating the end of the year with their twins all together in Aspen this year. A source told OK! Magazine exclusively, “Nick hates the idea of the twins growing up in a broken home. He wants to keep their lives as normal as possible.”

But Mariah has a different idea. According to reports, "they spent Thanksgiving together and fought behind the scenes. How is it healthy for the kids if both parents are technically in the same place but fighting?"

Additionally, Mariah blames Nick for a lot of the media criticism she has gotten lately!

Earlier this month, Mariah missed the Rockefeller Center's annual tree lighting ceremony. The reason why? According to reports, the singer was busy speaking with her lawyer on the phone about her divorce from Nick! She was apparently going over the property settlement.

"She holds him partially responsible for the bad press her recent performances have gotten," the source said. "She's been so stressed over the split—with the fighting and crying—it's definitely affected her state of mind, her head, her voice and her stage presence. It's rattled her."
