Mark Harmon has had a rough several months, and the NCIS actor is "on edge" as a result. The latest unfortunate circumstance to hit Harmon's life is the passing of his beloved friend Gary Glasberg - a showrunner for the hit CBS series. A source tells RadarOnline.com that the star is understandably devastated over the loss, especially since Glasberg "never said goodbye." The insider continues, “After the passing of Gary Glasberg, Mark was very much not himself...He was obviously very devastated and was on edge pretty much the whole day I was there.”
“Mark’s wife Pam said he almost didn’t speak a whole sentence for about two days after Gary died because he was in such disbelief and sadness,” the source spilled. “He wanted to be close to Pam, but didn’t want to talk about what happened.”
Glasberg died in his sleep on September 2016. He was only 50-years-old.

His pal's passing hasn't been the actor's only strife.
Harmon also dropped an extreme amount of weight over the last year after undergoing a secret surgery stemming from a previous football injury.
An insider previously told Radar, “Because of his tough rehabilitation, he has lost weight. But he’s doing great.”
