The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has released its first report on the death of Mark Salling.
The former Glee star's body was discovered in the Los Angeles River near his home in Sunland on Tuesday morning.
Initially, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed his death was a suicide, telling Radaronline.com, “we are aware of the incident and yes it was a suicide, but it is being handled the coroner’s office.”
Original reports stated that the actor hung himself.
But now, shocking details have emerged from the 35-year-old's autopsy! There is still no cause or manner of death listed on the report! According to the report, there is an investigation into the matter ongoing and Salling's body is being held at the facility for further testing.
The actor was awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor. A search warrant found 50,000 images of child porn on his computer and a thumb drive. Sentencing in the case was scheduled to take place in March and Mark was facing 4 to 7 years in prison after agreeing to a plea deal.
Back in August, a month and a half before striking the deal, the actor had cut his wrists in what appeared to be a suicide attempt. But his lawyer denied it at the time.
