Mel B Accepts Award For Advocacy Against Domestic Violence
Mel B took her mind off her ongoing divorce battle with Stephen Belafonte to be honored for her work and advocacy against domestic violence. While most fans know her for her iconic Spice Girl days as well as her role as a judge on The X Factor UK and America’s Got Talent, many do not know that behind the scenes, she works with the Face Forward Charity to help victims who suffer physical abuse at the hand of their spouse.
The 42–year-old wowed in a silver gown that dazzled and wore her hair in a short brown and blonde ombre cut, and let her gown do the talking as she kept her makeup simple with just eyeliner and purple lipstick.
Mel B received an award from the founder of the charity, Debora Alessi. The charity provides pro bono reconstructive surgery to adults and children who have suffered injuries and creates a safe environment for survivors.
She was not the only celebrity there, as Kelly Osbourne was in attendance to accept an award as well. Robin Thicke and other artists performed for free to help raise money for the victims.

Domestic violence is not only a cause that Mel B fights against either. She too has been a victim, she claims in court documents against Stephen.
She alleges he chocked her and punched her in the face after she flirted with Usher on an episode of X-Factor in 2012, among other allegations.
