Simon Cowell was unusually quiet when the Spice Girl showed off her new blonde wig.

While the 43-year-old singer’s new do simply featured longer locks and cascading blonde curls, it seemed to leave her unrecognizable to her fellow judge.

Mel’s new look captured Simon’s attention almost immediately. He did a double take as soon as she arrived at her seat.

However, Simon was at such a loss for words he continued to stare, which prompted Mel to ask, “What’s your problem? Either you like it or you don’t!”

Seemingly taken out of his trance, the typically outspoken judge finally responded, “I love it!”
